Countdown to Zero has been doing well….great reception at Cannes lat month, and will open in theaters in early July.

While continuing to shoot Intervention, lately I’ve focused more on a “spinoff” (sort of), still unnamed but perhaps called Relapse.

Also beginning an indie doc for Kathlyn Horan about inmates at the Seattle Women’s Prison.

Immediately afterward I had the rare experience, beginning an Intervention shoot, where our subject, the addict, forgot that I was listening to him over wireless mike and had a phone conversation that revealed that he and at least some of his family may have been simply using the show as a way for him to get free treatment. Since this puts the show on strange ethical ground we pulled the plug — the first time this has ever happened on an Intervention I’ve been shooting.
