I first shot with them last July when I followed a character for a week for Morgan’s film about ComicCon. Excited to continue with them, as they are a great company and Morgan is wonderful to work with.

(Wait, I’m forgetting that I also shot briefly for Morgan’s great series 30 Days — just before they closed up shop, much to my disappointment. )

A new documentary series that Sarah and I were heavily involved in developing the style of is premiering tonight on A&E. RELAPSE follows addicts who are trying to quit but unable and who therefore call in a “sober coach,” who spends a week with each helping devise a strategy for success.

Reviews so far have been excellent.

Entertainment Weekly calls it a Must-Watch and gives it an A-.

New York Daily News: “”Relapse” is smart and skilled enough to maintain one reminder why we’re here….Even as it chronicles the ragged, dirty and seemingly defeated life of someone who apparently has surrendered to chemical abuse, it finds small moments that remind us why that person is worth trying to save.

Variety: “The skill in producing “Intervention” and this companion involves making the show feel educational when it’s actually geared much more for the heart than the head.”

Medialife: “In the reality-TV era, we’ve all seen plenty of tears and hugs. On “Relapse,” they mean something. ”
…Plus my favorite, “powerful visuals.” :)
